India first day. I FORGOT MY PASSPORT!

My first day in India didn't have the perfect start as I left my passport at an Airtel counter with a security guard not letting me back into the airport terminal to get it. There was also a confused and frustrated taxi driver waiting for me. Once I arrived in Paharnganj I was told the room I'd booked wasn't available as the hotel was fully booked. I then spent an hour and a half walking around looking for another one. We also walk around the congested tourist centre of Paharnganj and I get my palm read by a spiritual guru who tells me I'm romantic, going to be successful, like water, and something about Venus and Jupiter. It was then time for a nice fried rice for lunch before wandering the lanes and back alleys some more.
