In the comedy series "Götter wie wir" (Gods Like Us), Strauch not only plays one of the two main roles but also takes on five additional roles, serving as director, writer, and co-producer. Piotr J. Lewandowski is on board as the second director. Rainer Ewerrien is also involved as a writer, in several roles, and as Ingeborg Gott. Nina Werth is another writer. Some press reviews: "Germany has a new TV highlight... Absurd, but always sophisticated. Anarchic, but always classy... Canonization can only be a matter of time for such a fantastic format" (Quotenmeter.de), "A comedy format that is not only incredibly funny and refreshingly cheeky, but also looks fabulous" (Journal Frankfurt), "This little series is definitely one of the television highlights of the year" (FAZ.net). The six-part comedy series broke all ratings records on ZDF.kultur, won both the German and Hessian Television Awards, and received a Grimme Prize nomination. Since 2015, Strauch has been a permanent member of the successful ZDF comedy series "Sketch-History", which also received a Grimme Prize nomination and won the German Comedy Prize 3 times.
