My new project is a Chinese 555 brand striking wall clock with a 15 day movement. One of my wife's friends asked if I could service the clock as it had not been serviced in a long time. After removing the clock hands the clock face was removed so I could access the movement. The Suspension Spring is next to go along with the Pendulum Leader. The Let Down Tool is used to release the power contained in the mainsprings so that the movement can be taken apart. Now the Back Cock and the Pallets and Crutch are removed from the movement. The Rack Stop Lever, the Snail and the Rack are next to be removed.
