To make this one, I used cotton fabric and added a drawstring waist to make it wider and more comfortable for in-between sizes. The skirt is perfect for beginners because it only consists of the hip panels and two ruffles. Instead of gathering them, I added pleats when sewing them to the skirt. The waistband is simply a rectangle of fabric folded twice with a buttonhole for the tie, which is also sewn onto another rectangle. A timeless and super easy skirt to make!
