The rules for the baccalaureate are changing. Starting with the 2026 session, no student will be allowed to retake an exam if they receive a grade below 8/20. Education Minister Édouard Geffray confirmed this, endorsing a measure announced at the end of August by his predecessor, Élisabeth Borne, but never before enshrined in law.
