Cultivation of Soapnut and Shikakai in Agro-Forestry systems

Plant based natural cleansers, more particularly soapnut and shikakai based household and personal care products, are the choice of people in the days to come. People are aware today on the ill effects of synthetic chemical based soaps and detergents and looking for right alternatives. There will be huge demand for #botanicalcleansers and farmers should consider to grow soapnuts and shikakai in different agro-forestry production systems. Dr.Ramakrishna Hegde, Professor of Silviculture and Agro-Forestry at UAHS, Shivamogga has explained in detail about various silvicultural practices in soapnuts and shikakai during our dialogue with him.
