🕹️🐉 Some games entertain you... Double Dragon changed my life. ❤️ Back in 1987, I was just a small kid walking into the arcade, completely unaware that I was about to discover a genre that would become my absolute favorite for the rest of my life. The moment I saw Billy and Jimmy Lee punching, kicking and throwing enemies across the screen, I was mesmerized. Every punch sounded powerful. Every kick felt satisfying. And that incredible soundtrack... It still gives me chills today. 🎵❤️ Unfortunately, arcade games weren't cheap. The arcade owners charged quite a lot for their coins, and my parents could only afford to give me enough money to play a handful of times. So after my credits were gone... I stayed. I watched. I watched older kids make it farther than I ever could (to Stage 2 🤣). And When I Saw Abobo PUNCHING Through the Wall and Coming Straight at you, I thought to myself 'How on EARTH are we Suppose to Beat THAT?? 😱" I was so intimidated. When nobody was playing, I would stand there watching the attract mode—the demo looping over and over again. Until I got told that we have to leave. I never got tired of it and I ALWAYS thought about it. The music... The punches... The flying kicks... The iconic "DOUBLE DRAGON" screen... It felt magical. Even without playing, I was completely captivated. Little did I know that those moments, standing in front of that glowing arcade cabinet, would ignite a lifelong passion for beat 'em ups that continues to this very day. So for this playthrough, I wanted to celebrate that memory in a fun way. Whenever Billy loses all his lives... Jimmy jumps in to continue the adventure. When Jimmy falls... Billy returns to the fight. Just like two brothers refusing to let evil win. This isn't just another gameplay video. It's a tribute to the game that introduced me to beat 'em ups, sparked countless childhood dreams, and ultimately inspired the retro gaming passion behind Insert Coin Legends.
