Dynamic Ryukyu at IGNITE Your Soul - APPARE Yosakoi Vancouver

We were thrilled to present our own first show, IGNITE Your Soul, in collaboration with Hiroaki Tagawa and Vancouver Okinawa Taiko! We are APPARE Yosakoi Vancouver, we love to smile, shout, enjoy and brighten up the grey skies of the city! If you would like to join us, find us on instagram or meetup, no experience with dance or Japanese needed! Hiroaki Tagawa is a blind guitarist known for his over hand technique on the guitar. He also composed our very first original song APPARE. He has performed for the paralympics in Tokyo as well as together with APPARE at the Osaka World Expo 2025. It was an amazing for him to perform with our own guitarist from APPARE this time! Vancouver Okinawa Taiko is an Okinawan taiko group formed in 2004 that combines drumming and dancing together with Okinawan music. We also were able to collaborate with them for Dynamic Ryukyu by Akira Ikuma. What a wonderful memory!
