I Finally Got Rear Brakes on My 1275 Sportster! (Wilwood Install)

Installing a Wilwood 4-Piston Rear Brake Caliper on My Sportster Flat Tracker! After a ton of research on brake calipers, brake fluid, brake lines, and routing options, I finally had everything I needed to get this rear brake setup working. In the last video, I mounted the Wilwood 4-piston caliper, but the supplied brake line was way too long for the clean look I wanted. In this episode, I swap to a shorter 23-inch brake line, install a hydraulic brake light switch, route everything around the swingarm and chain, and tackle one of the biggest challenges of this setup—bleeding the brakes with the caliper mounted in a less-than-ideal position. I also explain why I chose to run DOT 4 brake fluid with this setup, how I avoided introducing air into the system, and how the Motion Pro brake bleeding tools helped get a firm pedal. In the end, we finally get the Wilwood 4-piston rear brake fully operational and ready to stop this 1275cc Sportster flat tracker.
