Longsword Lessons: Primary Postures - Tag, Ochs, Pflug & Olber overview
Welcome to the first video on the guards/postures of longsword according to the renaissance fencing master Joachim Meyer, and presented by Michael Thomas, and Nick Thomas the founder of the AHF. This is the first of three videos that will show you how to form all twelve of the postures. In this video we will show you the four primary postures from which all others derive. These are critical framing postures from which to use in your fencing. You will form them in your attacks and defence, as well as moving through them as you execute techniques.
