Local Trains at the Shingle Plant - Old Conrail Power & More!

The GAF shingle plant in Myerstown, Pennsylvania is one of Norfolk Southern's largest customers on the Harrisburg Line. This video highlights 3 local trains delivering cars to the plant with diagrams and maps explaining truck & rail deliveries. 0:00 - April 3, 2009: A duo of Conrail painted locomotives NS GP40-2 3061 and NS SW1001 2107 passes through Richland on the way to the plant. 1:25 - Backing toward the plant. 4:40 - Maps / Diagrams of the shingle plant 6:00 - June 28, 2010: 3061 is the sole power of H31 this evening, but a surprise in the form of H33 (at 7:15) makes an unusual locomotive swap. 10:46 - After the locomotive swap, H31 heads west for Lebanon Chemical at Ramona Road in the setting sun. 11:40 - May 16, 2013: Another sequence of H31 arriving and backing toward the shingle plant with NS GP40-2 3048 and NS GP38-2 5355.
