Aliaxis Next on the ground in India to make impact in Water for Food
As water scarcity grows and the population increases, Aliaxis Next’s Water for Food business area works directly with farmers in India to advance saving of water in agriculture. Aliaxis Next wants to revolutionize how the world uses water when producing food, as 70% of today’s fresh water is used for agriculture globally. As Aliaxis moves into #smartirrigation and #AgTech via Aliaxis Next, the company has formed a team of 12 agronomists in its Indian subsidiary Ashirvad. These specialists work on the ground with farmers, learning their challenges, helping them to optimize their use of water, avoiding waste and increasing output. They are using new technology, such as smart irrigation systems that use the newest sensor-, control- and monitoring technology. Here you meet Nirmala Jyothi Dalavai of Aliaxis Next, who presents the vision and Ashirvad’s agronomist team in their startup-like role, their mission and learnings so far. #waterforagriculture
