How does an Album Leak?
The day that Yandhi leaked created an excitement for all of us, from The Storm to New Body, the entire thing is a classic. But it made me think, how does an album leak? Believe it or not, it all started with two men named Ken and Douglas, leaking The Great White Album by Bob Dylan. Forming such a well formed plan that nearly resembles a heist. From then, bootlegs rolled out in history. From Pink Floyd to The Beatles, pressings were everywhere from live records to demos. In reality, that same heist that Ken and Douglas once did is quite similar today in specific ways. Songs are leaked every single day through cellphone recordings to full on phishing attacks, but they are definitely not as noble as the first original documented leak.
