In this video, responding to some comments on some videos here about the Love Scam, it's not just women who believe in good-looking foreigners who approach them online on social media. I've received many stories from men who have unfortunately had experiences with the Love Scam, likely with members of the Nigerian Mafia. I've collected three cases from the past few days involving three different men: 1. Robin Young, a beautiful young blonde American soldier in her 30s, with a daughter, on a "peace" mission in Yemen. She asked the young man to fill out a form for "leave" to go on vacation and visit her. The young man didn't do so and began searching for information, but suffered no major harm, only emotional harm, which is already a significant harm. 2. Rose, also a beautiful young soldier on a "peace" mission in Syria. This was a complete scammer: she wanted to send him a suitcase full of cash, US$1.7 million, then she would send him a package and a suitcase with her personal belongings for safekeeping. He would then have to pay the FAKE shipping company and the fake customs fees... As if that weren't enough, she then even suggested that the young man invest in Bitcoins with her help. 3. A beautiful young woman wearing a Muslim veil approached the young man on Instagram and struck up a friendship, a "relationship," then began insisting that he invest in the company PLAYCRYPTO. LOVE SCAM: This is a love fraud scam that uses the internet and social media to approach potential victims to extort money, exploiting their vulnerabilities, needs, and difficult times in their lives. Therefore, pay attention to the following signs to detect the LOVE SCAM: 1. Good-looking, handsome men with perfect photos who randomly approach people on social media out of the blue; 2. Very long conversations, Ctrl C Ctrl V, Copy Paste, like mail merges, copied from their gang's files; 3. Love at first sight, a love so deep, romantic, and dreamlike, Don Juan, Prince Charming, telling you everything you ever wanted to hear; 4. Inviting you to leave dating apps, social media, language apps, and gaming apps; asking you to chat on Hangouts (GMAIL chat). If you don't have Hangouts and don't want to use it, they take you to WhatsApp; 5. They often choose professions like American Military, Doctors, Oil and Gas Engineers, Petrochemical Engineers, and Civilians. Always high-status and successful professions; 6. They are widowed or divorced with dramatic life stories: their wife was in a car accident, died of devastating illnesses; their son is orphaned, separated, or their daughter is separated from her father, in boarding school, with grandparents, etc.; They use names like Lilly, Lucy, etc. In short, they're handsome, sensitive men, completely alone in the world at their disposal; 7. They create incredible stories like the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Syria, huh? Embarked on oil rigs and ships, attacked by pirates, or need to leave Dubai and can't; 8. They can never make video calls; they're not "authorized," but they're always online on social media, trying to lure new victims. They chat with 40 to 50 people a day; 9. A FINANCIAL EMERGENCY arises: they ask you to pay for cell phone credit, gift cards, Amazon Card, iTunes Card, Google Car, send a "package" or "suitcase," and then a fake shipping company tries to charge you exorbitant customs fees; they ask you to pay for the ticket so they can go to Brazil; They ask to pay for vacation leave, marriage leave, retirement leave, one outrage after another. They ask to pay for the children's school fees, his hospital bills if he's had an accident... ugh. 10. They constantly use every bit of information to prey on your vulnerabilities, needs, and sadness. They pretend to care, trying everything to prove they're real: they send employment contracts, access to websites and checking accounts, documents, photos, videos... everything, all falsified and even potentially money laundering. These scams are common on social media, apps, and dating sites. They are criminals, con artists, preying on their victims' vulnerability and money. Never send money to people you met online, nor take seriously relationships where you haven't even had video calls. Don't give your personal information to people you met only online, not photos, not bank details. Don't give up on dating sites or social media, but be careful and always keep your radar and scam alerts on.
