France and Spain desperately try control devastating wildfires - Watch ITV Evening News LIVE

France's interior minister has said the massive wildfire in the nation's southwest has stopped growing, but cautioned the battle isn't over. The fire, which has led to 220,000 people being evacuated in and around the Gironde region, has been raging for several days. French President Emmanuel Macron called a crisis cabinet meeting on Monday morning to discuss the fires, while Spain battled a similar crisis. Around 325,000 people have been evacuated in total across France and Spain, including thousands of tourists.
