Off the Hook - Into the Light: FAN LYRICS (Splatoon 2)

I was holding off on doing Into the Light for a while. I had ideas bouncing around for a long time, but this song always kind of struck me as a "big one" as it were; one that I wanted to save for when it felt appropriate. So, when I hit 100 subscribers not too long ago, I figured now would be the perfect time! Thank you everyone for sticking around! I'm glad those of you who've subbed have chosen to do so. Your support means a lot! In terms of the song itself, I'd always heard "you may be called into the light" near the beginning, which I suppose is a sort of non-standard interpretation for that line? It colored how I heard the rest of the lyrics and shaped Into the Light into a song about holding out for a better future, knowing that you are never alone in struggling or wanting better. My Wet Floor lyrics often show it, but I feel like this set is the most heavily infused with my personal streak of optimism, and they're deeply personal to me for that reason.
