Trekking al CERRO AMIGO en El Bolsón + Caminata, Pizza Patagónica y Torta en Patagonia, Argentina 🌄🍰

For our first full day in El Bolsón, we decided to hike Cerro Amigo. This is the easiest hike you can do in the entire town, but the scenery is spectacular! From the town center, it's about a 20-minute hike to the park entrance, and from there, you can visit three different viewpoints in 45 minutes. If you're new to trekking but want to enjoy beautiful mountain views, hiking Cerro Amigo is a great option! After climbing the hill, we returned to town and had lunch at Confitería Reina. We saw a Patagonian pizza on the menu that caught our eye, with ingredients like pancetta, ham, and fried eggs—it was a bit unusual, but it was delicious! Of course, we also tried some tortas for dessert. And that was our day! In the next video, we'll go on a trip to Lago Puelo, so see you soon! :) 🌄🥧 Day One in El Bolsón: Hike, Viewpoints, and Torta | Discovering Argentine Patagonia 🇦🇷🍰 ☀️ Waking Up in El Bolsón: A Valley Between Mountains First full day in El Bolsón, Argentina, a picturesque town surrounded by mountains and nature. The day begins with the surprise that, being in a valley, the sun rises late and the morning is darker than usual, perfect for sleeping a little longer than expected! As soon as the sun rises and the sky clears, the adventure begins with a simple plan: walk around the outskirts of town and enjoy the surroundings. 🥾 Morning Hike and Viewpoint Exploration The main activity of the day is a hike to Cerro Amigo, just a 20-minute walk from the accommodation. The hike is accessible to all, and park admission costs just 80 pesos (about $2), with the advantage that the ticket allows you to return for a week. Within the park, there are three viewpoints, ideal for getting the best panoramic views of El Bolsón. First Viewpoint: Easy access, just a few minutes' walk. Second Viewpoint: A little steeper, with a white cross and a wooden platform to enjoy the scenery. Third Viewpoint: Through trails between rocks and mountain views, it offers a spectacle of Patagonian nature. Along the way, there are recommended stops, such as a farm that sells artisanal products: sweets, juices, mushrooms, and more. 🍕 Lunch at a Confectionery and Dessert Temptation After the hike, the plan is to enjoy a light lunch in town, ideal for those who ate a lot of meat and drank wine the day before. Main course: Patagonian pizza with cooked ham, pancetta, fried egg, mozzarella, and bell peppers, a unique combination of local ingredients. Other options: Four-cheese pizza, abundant pancetta and cheese, generous portions to recharge after the hike. The grand finale: A feast of homemade cakes, specially chosen for dessert: chocolate sponge cake with berry jam, cream, grated chocolate, coconut cake with dulce de leche, and more. The full lunch, including pizza, cakes, sparkling water, and takeout portions, totaled 640 pesos (approx. $16), a more than reasonable price for the quality and quantity. 🐾 Local Life and Cat Encounters During the stay, new friendships are forged: the lodge's cats come closer every day, and even the shyest one loses their fear of the camera. One of them seems to have an eye infection, so the idea of helping him arises. The company of these expert little felines adds a special touch to the experience in El Bolsón. 🌅 Closing the Day and Reflection With a full belly and a happy heart, the rest of the afternoon is spent relaxing in the cabin and getting some work done. Nothing better than ending the day peacefully, enjoying the peace of Patagonia. 📌 Tips and Recommendations Park Admission: Affordable and valid for one week. Hikes: Easy and suitable for all levels. Food: Trying the Patagonian pizza and artisanal cakes is a must. Local Life: Take the opportunity to learn about the feline wildlife and small farms. 🔎 Keywords and Hashtags #ElBolson #PatagoniaArgentina #Hiking #Viewpoints #PatagonianFood #ArgentineTravel #TravelVlog #Cake #PatagonianPizza #DiscoveringElBolson #PatagoniaTourism Did you enjoy this trip?
