宝塚歌劇団の始まり(戦前から現代まで)
☆The Beginnings of the Takarazuka Revue - An original story from Storia cafe. The Takarazuka Revue's roots lie in the "Girls' Revue," which was founded by Kobayashi Ichizo to attract customers by renovating a (closed) indoor pool in the Takarazuka Onsen district. ☆From the end of the Meiji period to the Taisho period, the Western-style modern arts and culture that flourished in the foothills of Mount Rokko was called "Hanshinkan Modernism." The Takarazuka Revue was born amid the trends of the time. The reasons indoor pools were unpopular with customers were: 1) At the time (late Meiji period to early Taisho period), there was still a tendency to consider it indecent for men and women to bathe together in a pool. 2) Because they were indoors, the pool was not exposed to sunlight, so the water was always cold. →Indoor pools overseas regulated the water temperature by running iron pipes through the bottom of the pool through which steam could pass. Hankyu executives were unaware of this and introduced an indoor pool facility without sufficient research, which led to its failure. [Takarazuka Overseas Performances] In Italy, even dictator Mussolini attended a Takarazuka performance. The friendly interaction between a Canadian basketball team and troupe members on board a ship was widely reported in Japanese newspapers and led to significant criticism. ※During the era of militarism, the Takarazuka Revue, a symbol of the West, was repeatedly subjected to unreasonable orders and harassment from military police and others. Those involved made efforts to get the military police to overlook the situation by changing the performance to suit the times, and sometimes even mentioning the names of troupe members' fathers, who were officers. ※Manga artist Tezuka Osamu lived near the Takarazuka Grand Theater. As a result, many of his works are influenced by the Takarazuka Revue. ☆If you enjoyed this channel, please subscribe and like it.
