'God's Blueprint for my Body!' 1st Corinthians 6:12-20

During this sermon, Pastor Brady continued in our 1st Corinthians series from 1st Corinthians 6:12-20 with a sermon entitled 'God's Blueprint for my Body!' ‘God’s Blueprint for my Body!’ 1st Corinthians 6:12-20 Sermon in a Sentence: God’s Blueprint for my body is that it is a prize, it will be of prophetic use, it is not for prostitutes, and it came at a price! Question to ask: Who owns my body? How does Paul explain God’s blueprint for our bodies and how we must abstain from sexual immorality amidst a corrupt world? Truth #1: The Body is a Prize. (vv. 12) -Cherish your body. (v. 12a) -Captivate your body. (v. 12b) Truth #2: The Body is of Prophetic Use. (v. 13-14) Your Body is God’s Possession. (v. 13) -Your Body is under God’s Power. (v. 14) Truth #3: The Body is not for Prostitutes. (vv. 15-16) -The Seriousness of Sex. (vv. 15) -The Sanctity of Sex. (v. 16) Truth #4: The Body came at a Price. (vv. 17-20) -Free in Christ. (v. 17) -Flee from Sexual Immorality and anything that looks like it! (v. 18) -Forget not that your body is a temple. (v. 19) -Forget not the price that was paid. (v. 20) ‘And when, before the throne, I stand in Him complete, Jesus died my soul to save’ my lips shall still repeat. Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe; sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.’
