Regarded by many as among the most influential writers of the 20th Century, Samuel Beckett is one of Ireland's most celebrated literary talents. Awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1969, Samuel Beckett's life began in Dublin in 1906. He would go on to write numerous award winning works, including the likes of "Waiting for Godot" as well as in later life, numerous radio, film, pantomime, and television projects. This documentary takes a look at this brilliant life, and celebrates his 80th birthday at the Samuel Beckett Conference in Paris in 1986.
