Rane DJ SEVENTY-TWO Mixer - Cross Fader Disassembly and Adjustment

I’m here with the Rane DJ 72 SEVENTY-TWO Mixer. Some of you have been asking about the MAG THREE faders, how they work, how to adjust them, disassemble them etc. So today, we’re going to have a closer look at the MAG THREE Faders. We’ll cover each of the adjustments you can do, both using the mixer settings, and internal to the mixer, including how to adjust the cut in, contour, and tension. We’ll also disassemble the fader, so you can see how it goes together and works. This might be helpful to you if you ever need to troubleshoot, lubricate, replace your fader, replace any of its parts like the carrier, or if you’re just curious about what it looks like under the hood. 00:33 What is new with the MAG THREE faders 00:51 How to adjust fader cut-in 01:49 How to adjust contour, reverse, and deck swap 02:31 How to remove the faceplate to access the faders 03:21 How to adjust the fader tension 03:58 How to remove the faders from the mixer 05:09 How the MAG THREE fader works 05:51 How to lubricate the fader, and what type of lubricant to use 06:37 How to troubleshoot and fix stiff fader due to stuck magnet (method 1) 09:07 How to disassemble the MAG THREE fader itself 10:09 How to troubleshoot and fix stiff fader due to stuck magnet (method 1) 10:28 How to reassemble the fader 11:36 How to reinstall the fader ===More Guides, Tips, and Links=== I've included links below to some other related guides, and links we've mentioned in the video, or in the conversation with viewers in the comments: • Rane DJ SEVENTY-TWO FAQ: http://bit.ly/2F1kCAn • Setting the Fader Tension and Cut-in: http://bit.ly/2Hd17uT • Lubricant: DeoxIT® Fader F-Series (formerly CaiLube MCL) http://bit.ly/2F3qmK0 ===Where can I get further technical support?=== Whether you are a customer or dealer, if you already own a Rane DJ product, or if you just have pre-sales questions, the Rane DJ technical support team is available to help!
