L' Homme et l'invisible - Le pouvoir des symboles - par Thierry Adda

Lecture given by Thierry Adda, philosopher and president of the New Acropolis France association, on January 21, 2025, at Espace Vollon. Recommended book: "Man and the Invisible," by Jean Servier, Éditions du Rocher, 1994 "The most beautiful feeling one can experience is the sense of mystery. It is the source of all true art, of all true science. He who has never known this emotion, who does not possess the gift of wonder and rapture, might as well be dead: his eyes are closed." Albert Einstein. The materialistic dogmas that underpin Western civilization only serve to mask a profound anguish in the face of death and the invisible. Yet, in the minds of people from traditional civilizations, the Invisible is a reality, a dimension in which all of humanity moves. The universal language for penetrating this reality is the universe of symbols. ****** Did you know that New Acropolis is run entirely by volunteers?
