Loving the tranquility of the mountain valley, Mr. and Mrs. Heo In-young left the city after their retirement to settle here. In this house, where the couple's hands have touched every single stone in the yard, there is a homeowner who visits every weekend. The couple is busy welcoming the homeowner, picking mugwort in the field and baking bread by hand. Those who visit every weekend are their daughter and son-in-law, who work in Busan, and their one-year-old grandson, Jun-hoo. The son-in-law, who is now like a son to them, has a deep connection with this country house. Before his marriage, he visited the mountain valley whenever he had spare time and personally tended to the house, which was once a dilapidated ruin, together with his father-in-law. Thanks to his diligence, they received approval for the marriage, and their son Jun-hoo's first birthday party was also held here. For those who have come to Oedaldo to escape their repetitive daily lives, there is a wonderful guesthouse that adds to that excitement. A Hanok guesthouse with the vast ocean as its front yard. Seven years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Park Gwang-su fell in love with this Hanok at first sight and settled on the island. They expected island life to be as leisurely as a weekend every day. However, reality turned out to be a bit different. They are always busy managing the Hanok and welcoming guests, doing so for the first time in their lives. Even this couple has a special holiday. With their excellent craftsmanship, they not only build comfortable homes but also step up to help with village house repairs, earning the deep affection of the local elders. A couple of ecological architects settled in the village eight years ago after converting a warehouse into their home. Although they are busy handling village affairs throughout the week, there is a place they visit with their children every Friday. With backpacks slung over their shoulders and a bottle of homemade liquor packed, they are ready to leave. The destination is none other than a nearby hill. They chose this easily accessible hill rather than searching for a special place to enjoy nature. Since there is neither electricity nor gas, the entire day is spent lighting a fire and cooking, but the inconvenience is nothing compared to the fact that they can experience nature in its purest form.
