Because it's made from coconut, the urap seasoning spoils very easily. Especially if it's served with boiled vegetables from the start, it's guaranteed to spoil in the afternoon. However, did you know there's a trick to making urap seasoning last longer? The trick is to reduce the water content in the seasoning to a very low level. Ingredients: 3 cloves garlic 1 handful cayenne pepper (reduce the heat if you don't like it spicy). 3 large red chilies ½ segment of galangal 6 kaffir lime leaves Brown sugar 1 teaspoon tamarind (this provides a refreshing effect). ½ teaspoon shrimp paste for a savory flavor 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon sugar to balance the flavors 1 medium-sized coconut, not too old and not too young.
