One of the best parts of living in Jaco is that the beach is always only 1-2 blocks away from the main street downtown. To demonstrate this, we visit several of the most popular spots on the Jaco beach while weaving in and out of the main downtown area. We start on the beach at Calle Morales, Jaco's most popular surf spot, and walk along the beach to Selena Jaco. From there we walk on Calle Alice, passing Vista Las Palmas on the way to avenida Pastor Diaz, Jaco's main street. We walk from the Jaco Walk shopping complex to Calle Hicaco before heading back to the beach in front of the Hicaco and El Novillo Alegre restaurants. A mariachi band is at the beach getting ready for a busy weekend. We proceed north on the beach and head back into town on Calle Central. After walking along Jaco's main street through the busiest parts of downtown we walk down Calle Bohio to the beach. We pass the bars and hostels on Bohio Street as well as the former location of Bubba's / Bohio Grill. Our walk ends in front of the Malecon restaurant, at the beach on Calle Bohio near the Diamante del Sol condominium and the Rio Copey.
