Foundation Stone Laying for an International Wrestling Hall in Barot Saturday, February 22, 2014 Janta Vedic College, Barot (Bagpat), Uttar Pradesh Jat College arrived in Barot to lay the foundation stone for an international wrestling hall equipped with modern facilities for wrestling in western Uttar Pradesh. Member of Parliament and Civil Aviation Minister Chaudhary Ajit Singh laid the foundation stone and unveiled the plaque for the wrestling hall. A wrestling competition, Dangal, was also organized on the occasion, showcasing the country's best wrestlers. Rajiv Tomar landed a knee on his opponent's neck, flipped him over, and defeated him by breaking his belt. Varun and Hitesh's bout lasted twenty minutes. Wrestler Sintu Gurjar won the bout by pinning his opponent. Among the women, Neha and Pushpanjali's wrestling was excellent. The child wrestlers also performed well. The college principal, officials, and prominent figures from the Jat community were present on the occasion. Hind Kesari Subhash Pehalwan and Guru Rajkumar Goswami were also present at the inauguration. Wrestling guru Master Raghubir Ji of Baraut conducted the wrestling matches. Honorable Minister Ajit Singh congratulated everyone on the occasion and said that wrestling is a favorite sport of this region and has been played here for centuries, but due to lack of facilities, the situation on the mat is deteriorating.
