My husband and I drove four hours to go on a 2-day, 1-night car camping trip to meet the lush green birch trees of summer! We stopped in Uiseong to fill our stomachs with hearty beef bulgogi infused with the aroma of charcoal grilling, and even explored the open-air campsites at Gubong Park and Binggye Valley with the intention of returning in the summer. However, upon arriving in Yeongyang, an unexpected situation arose: our original car camping spot was blocked by beehives, making it inaccessible...! 😱 With no other choice, we headed toward the observatory within the Dark Sky Reserve, and miraculously discovered a treasure-like "real open-air campsite" that was exclusively for us. Playing music and videos on a projector amidst nature while sharing a drink with my husband—isn't that the true charm of car camping? The rainy summer birch forest we encountered the next day had a charm quite different from that of winter. I vividly captured the harmony of the sound of rain pattering on our umbrellas and the rustling of leaves in the wind on video. From the Seonbawi Cliff Waterfall we stopped by by chance on the way home to the Bonsai Theme Park which exceeded our expectations, this is a travelogue packed with activities for our 2-day, 1-night trip!
