This video covers Days 6 and 7 of my trekking journey through the Langtang region of Nepal. Starting from Thulo Syabru, I teamed up with a British girl and her guide whom I met in Cholangpati. Together, we challenged ourselves to reach the sacred lake of Gosaikunda, sitting at an altitude of 4,380 meters. This was undoubtedly the toughest day of the entire trek: nearly 12 kilometers of continuous uphill climbing, transitioning from lush forests into barren rockies, and conquering ridge after ridge. As we neared the lake area, the air grew thin, my head began to throb, and my pace slowed down drastically. However, having companions by my side and exchanging words of encouragement became the ultimate strength that kept me moving forward. By midday, we finally reached the sacred lake. The lake's surface was perfectly still, reflecting the passing clouds and distant mountains like a hidden secret tucked between heaven and earth. Although we couldn't stay overnight and only had a brief moment there, the sheer serenity of the lake was deeply etched into my heart. After a short rest, we retraced our steps back down the mountain—a physically exhausting yet profoundly rewarding pilgrimage. ⚠️ Friendly Reminder: Starting from 2025, Nepal has strictly implemented regulations requiring foreign trekkers to be accompanied by a licensed guide.
