ConeXion Dance Battle

ConeXion TanzBattle by Yeri Anarika • DanceWorks – UMtanz “ConeXion” is an international dance battle and performance project created to bring dance closer to people — open, accessible and without borders. Bringing together artists from Urban Dance and Contemporary Dance, young performers from the new UMtanz Company, and kids from the new breakdance crew “Breaking News” from Haus Vila Templin, the project became an intense artistic and human exchange developed within a very short time. The idea behind ConeXion is to dissolve the boundaries between dance styles, cultures and countries through movement, music and community. In regions such as the Uckermark, projects like this create spaces for encounter, participation and togetherness across generations. Together with DJ Chamigo Hukelson, hosts Tyler Weidner and Yeri Anarika, the UMtanz team, Cornelia Baumgart, and many supporters behind the scenes, the show transformed MKC Templin into a place of movement, energy and connection. Bruno Renne and young participants from Haus Vila Templin helped build the stage, install lights and sound, and create a vibrant performance space for the artists and community. International dancers. Live DJ. Youth work. Community. Passion. Dance as connection. #TogetherWeDance CREDITS ConeXion TanzBattle A project by UMtanz Concept & Direction Yeri Anarika Management Cornelia Baumgart Artists & Dancers Mami Fuji & Yurie Nishi — Japan Nicholas Isaiah King Rose — USA Nataliia Zhdan — Ukraine Carlos Aller — Spain Lukas Steltner — Germany Cecilia Bartolino — Italy Pablo von Sternenfels — Mexico City, Mexico Yeri Anarika — Mexico City, Mexico DJ Chamigo Hukelson Featuring Junge Kompanie UMtanz Breaking News — Haus Vila Templin Hosts Yeri Anarika Tyler Weidner Light & Sound Bruno Renne Video & Photography Baldemar Bottini Special Thanks To Kathrin Bohm-Berg for supporting the project through the Gastspiel-Förderung des Landes Brandenburg, to the Stadt Templin for their continuous support, and to the program ChanceTanz – Kultur macht stark, which enables the participation of children and young people and strengthens the project through cultural education and community engagement.
