We Got Exclusive Access To The 45 Year Old Halton Miniature Railway - Runcorn -

The track is 7 1/4" gauge, and is almost a mile in length. Running through a small part of Town Park, the 10 minute journey is a delight for all ages. Opened in 1979, the railway is run entirely by volunteers, members of the Halton Miniature Railway Society Limited. ​There is no charge to ride the train, but donations are welcome to help cover costs. Trains are normally hauled by one of the Society's petrol locomotives, but members also bring their own steam and electric locomotives to run. Please note; children aged 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult on the train.
