An Evenk from the Yokotgor clan, Ivan Kulbertinov from the village of Tayana, was asked to deal with him. To accomplish this, this man, a former hunter, asked the soldiers to dig a 20-meter trench facing the Germans at night, and after the task was completed, he lay down in it before dawn. He knew that at dawn, after a rifle shot, a tiny cloud of steam would inevitably form in the clear morning air, allowing him to easily pinpoint the enemy's location. The German sniper perched in the pine tree gave himself away with his first shot, and the Evenk took him down with just one press of the trigger.
