I headed into the Abu Dhabi desert to visit what many people call *the darkest place in the UAE* and find out whether stargazing really lives up to the hype. Joining a group of complete strangers, I spent the evening off-roading through the dunes, enjoying a BBQ under the stars, sitting around a campfire, and learning about the night sky from an astronomy guide. Unfortunately, my camera couldn't fully capture what we could see with our own eyes, but sometimes the best experiences aren't about getting the perfect shot—they're about being there in the moment.
