We Almost Rode Lightning Run... The Most Kentucky Kingdom Ending Ever

Join us for another adventure at Kentucky Kingdom! We visited on a hot and humid Sunday, but the light crowds made it a fantastic day to explore the park. We took rides on Wind Chaser, Storm Chaser, Kentucky Flyer, and the Giant Wheel while enjoying a relaxed summer atmosphere. We also stopped by Swampwater Jack's for a meal. Was it the best food in the park? Not exactly. But somehow it hit that nostalgic amusement park comfort-food vibe. The biggest adventure of the day came when we headed for Lightning Run. After dealing with guests constantly cutting the line for the front row, we decided to settle for the back row instead. Just as it was finally our turn to board, another guest became sick, forcing the ride to shut down before we could ride!
