The EDI Caucus was a research project funded by UKRI and the British Academy between 2023 and 2026 to research the evidence base for equality, diversity and inclusion in the UK's research & innovation sector. Workstream 2 focused on the "research process" - that is, the career-defining decisions which underpin research careers, e.g. peer review and research funding, and publications. Professor Robert MacIntosh -- Vice-Chancellor of the University of the West of Scotland -- and Dr Stefanie Schneider, postdoctoral researcher for EDICa also based at UWS, presented on the research, focusing on four good practice guides EDICa is in the process of publishing.
