🧘Qi Gong RETREAT: Breathwork, Qi Gong, Meditation ––– 4 days • November 20–23, 2025 ––– Learn more: https://www.meine-tcm.com/qi-gong-ret... In this video, Wolfgang shows you how to reduce stress with a few simple exercises. Wolfgang first explains what happens in the body when we are under stress, using the example of a saber-toothed tiger in the Stone Age. In a fight-or-flight situation, the hormones adrenaline and cortisol are released in the human body. These hormones cause blood pressure and heart rate to rise, and more fats and carbohydrates to be released into the bloodstream. Digestion and the immune system are suppressed. Of course, much more happens. Among other things, your senses are sharpened. The human body is prepared for this critical situation. Wolfgang The physical activity that follows such a situation—in our example, fight or flight—causes the release of hormones. Hopefully not by a saber-toothed tiger… The same thing happens today when you're under stress. Your body releases adrenaline and cortisol. It doesn't always take a life-threatening situation. The big difference compared to the Stone Age is that today we don't engage in physical activity after the hormone release. This means the hormones remain in the body longer and, in the worst-case scenario, continue to build up. So, for example, you could go for a run after a stressful situation. That works, too. But Wolfgang will show you a Qi Gong program that can help you reduce stress. From the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the heart and circulatory meridians are challenged in stressful situations. And kidney energy, your life force, is depleted. When kidney energy is completely exhausted, it leads to what's known as burnout. The five simple Qi Gong exercises that Wolfgang will show you target these meridians: heart, liver, and kidney. Afterwards, you'll learn about acupuncture points that can further enhance the effects of the exercises: the Sea of Calm, the Circulation Points, and the Kidney Points. You can, of course, also apply pressure to these points before, during, or after a stressful situation without performing the five exercises. Enjoy our Qi Gong program for stress reduction. ...
