Sunday CTF Blood (GG!)(21st June 2026)

Team Red: Bomb2001, Viop, ic3fly, SOULSHOOK Team Blue: Abyssess, gorgoroth, xM34, TigerBLUE We had this in the bag...until we didn't ;-) I decided to go with Athena rather than Galena on this one because with an Athena and two Rangers on the other side, I knew there would be a lot of fast get aways that I might need to chase. Things were pretty balanced for most of the game, at one point about 2mins into round 2 I thought we had a very good chance of winning...but then half way into round 2, things started to go wrong ;-) At 12:08 I'm coming home with the flag ...I get shafted from behind ;-) ...Athena's ramp jump gets triggered and I'm launched into the air ...everything tells me I'm about to be propelled out of bounds ...I do a 180 and intend to throw the flag hoping a teammate will grab it ...somehow my arc doesn't take me as far as I thought, I'm guessing I must have just clipped the lip of the wall and I'm then returned to the ground ...the flag is thrown though ...I immediately launch a grapple to try and retrieve it ...on my screen I'm right on top of the flag with ic3fly still multiple steps away but the game "says" I didn't pick it up and ic3fly makes the defence ! grrr ! At 13:31 I spawn in a good spot to try and intercept their FC (Viop) at LG ...I get Viop down to 6hp (just one more bullet would finish him !) ...but I'm fragged and Viop makes it home to make it 6-5 At 13:45 SOULSHOOK is stealing our flag ...I manage to stop him with a couple of rails and make the defence ...but I then get blasted in the back by Bomb2001 ...as ic3fly is stealing our flag ! (I didn't see either of these players as I chased SOULSHOOK so that was a well coordinated attack or some lucky timing...either way ic3fly is half way across the map before I respawn). ...I knock Viop off the bridge but have no more grapples ...I miss my "grapple" to rail and am now in a bad position as Red cap and take Quad ...before I can rearm Viop is in base with Quad and mows me down ...it's now 6-6 ! ...things don't go our way in the next few encounters and it's 6-7 At 15:20 ic3fly hits me with some well placed rockets ...I get one rail on him but I'm fragged and he's away with the flag ...I get a lucky spawn ...and meet him on the stairs with a gauntlet to the face ;-) ...sorry ic3 ! (you deserved better there !) It's all chaos after this and red cement their victory with another two caps for a 6-9 win. wp guys, I thought this was a great game myself !
