Today at sea, it wasn't luck, but patience and the right tactics that spoke for itself. First, I landed a Barracuda with live bait, but to no avail. Then I tried a dead Squid; I got a good hit, but the fish bailed. On the third move, I landed a live Melanur; it leashed the bait, pulled hard, ripped the bait off the hook, and fled. Finally, my last remaining bait was a Tral. I released it, and it did its job in one go—it took the bait without hesitation, and after a struggle, we finally got the fish back to the boat.
