Hummer H2 wont shift into gear!

If your Hummer H2 shifting handle flops around and wont go into gear. Maybe the shifting cable plastic parts have disintegrated. If your lucky its the plastic part inside the center console. If your unlucky it could be the shifting cable linkage under the Hummer by the transmission . This video is about the easier one to replace.You can tell by pulling the center console top off and see if the shifting cable has popped off and associated plastic piece has crumbled. Update: Dorman plastic part still going strong as of 09/27/2019 hard to believe the way it flops around in there.
