The young man came online attempting to mock me over my stance on the boycott — based on lies about me — but the conversation quickly shifted into a serious discussion on takfīr. It’s astonishing how uninformed some of these youth are; all they have are loose strands of knowledge and lingering doubts that have led them to embrace the destructive bidʿah of the Khawārij. Discussing one of the principles of Khawarij: Ruling by other than Allah’s rule makes you an apostate – no exceptions! In Islam, declaring a ruler, a government, or an entire population as apostates (takfīr ʿāmm) is a major matter that requires clear proof from the Qur’an and Sunnah, applied case by case with the conditions and without ignoring the preventions. #salaf #farishammadi #khawarij #islam #sunnah
