How to do a basic set up on the rotary table
I'm a real amateur at all of this, so it's pretty bold of me to think I can show someone else how to do something on the mill, BUT... I've had to figure out how to get a part square to the x-axis of the rotary table., and I'd like to share my way of doing it with you in Youtube land. Joe Pie has a good couple of videos on setting up, and I'm using adjustable parallels and a parallel clamped to the table like he does. What I haven't found in any video yet is how to position a part such that a radius to be milled will be in the center. That will be what I hope to show you here.
