A febrile seizure is not epilepsy! It is a seizure caused by fever, but without infection of the central nervous system. Fever is defined as an axillary temperature above 37.2°C, and it is considered caused by fever: it can occur before or during a fever, and the age range in which it usually occurs is between 3 months and 5 years of age.
