I'll say it out loud right now. Atlas, the darkly melodic Finnish powerhouse, is one of THE best bands in the world. Their new album, UKKO, has an un-mistakeable sound and an intense vision that must be experienced to believe. It's a revelation and one I cannot shake. I had a chance to talk to both Tuomas and Patrik for roughly an hour, and it was a most personal affair. The guys shared the truth behind the words and the pain behind the music and we all left better men for it. I love these guys so much that I almost want to move my entire family to Finland, just so we can spend more time together. It was that special to me. Now, I know I'm known for exaggeration and speaking in glassy tones about the bands and music I love, but this one WAS different. After listening to the show, I hope you feel the same way too.
