Hibiscus in Watercolor: Only 1 Brush and Wet-on-Wet Technique
Hello everyone! Welcome back to my channel. Today we are going to paint some vibrant Hibiscus using one of my favorite techniques: loose watercolor. What is special about this tutorial is that we are going to simplify it as much as possible: we will use just one brush and focus on the wet-on-wet technique to make the colors blend in a natural and organic way. It’s a perfect exercise to loosen up, enjoy the splotches, and relax while creating these tropical flowers. In this video, you will learn: How to control water for the wet-on-wet technique. How to create volume in the petals with just one brush. Tips to achieve that gestural and fluid style that we love so much. I hope you enjoy this process as much as I do! Don’t forget to subscribe to Cecy Catalán for more flower tutorials and easy watercolor techniques. Materials used: Watercolor paper (300g recommended and Cotton). Watercolors in pan or tube.
