Témoignage de Hiba Trraf dernière pédiatre à Montluçon, qui démissionne

There is therefore officially no longer a permanent pediatrician at the Montluçon hospital. Hiba Trraf, head of the pediatrics department at the health facility, which now has no other members besides herself, is resigning. She explained her decision on RMC and RMC Story: "My decision to resign is based on many factors, but above all, a deteriorating quantity and quality of work, which may be endangering the lives of some children because I am exhausted, both mentally and physically. I am here to care for children, not to harm them, so I am leaving. I arrived in Montluçon in November 2018. What has deteriorated is the medical staffing. All my colleagues who left have not been replaced, even though there is a national staff shortage. Our warnings were ignored, even though there were things that could have been done to help us. We were supposed to be seven pediatricians; I couldn't do the work of seven! The workload is so heavy that it scares away potential recruits. I am going to rest in November and then I will retrain to work in humanitarian aid."
