Busy day for AFR crews responding to 4 working fires in about 4 hours. On Wednesday 2/5/25, at approximately 0937. Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to 819 Palo Duro Ave NW for reports of a possible structure fire at a single family dwelling. Battalion 1 arrived on scene and reported a working fire with smoke showing at this single family dwelling. Engine 6 stretched a line for fire control. The fire was brought under control within 19 minutes of their arrival. One civilian was transported to the hospital by Rescue 4. There were no other injuries reported. The residence suffered smoke and fire damage and isn’t habitable. The fire is under investigation by AFR’s Arson Division. No additional information is currently available. On Wednesday 2/5/25 at approximately 10:55am, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to 902 Pacific Ave SW for reports of a possible structure fire at a single family dwelling. Engine 1 arrived on scene and reported smoke pushing from all sides of this boarded up single family dwelling. Engine 1 stretched a hoseline for fire control and search. One patient was located outside the structure and was treated and transported to a local hospital by Albuquerque Ambulance. The fire was brought under control within 19 minutes of their arrival. One civilian was transported to the hospital, but there were no injuries to firefighters. The residence suffered smoke and fire damage and isn’t habitable. The cause of the fire is under investigation by fire investigators. No additional information is currently available. On Wednesday 2/5/25 at approximately 11:57am Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to 310 Thaxton SE for reports of a possible structure fire. Battalion 2 arrived on scene and reported a shed that was fully involved with fire. Engine 3 stretched a hoseline for defensive, exterior fire operations. No exposure buildings were damaged. The fire was brought under control within 19 minutes of their arrival. No civilians or firefighters were injured. The building was a total loss. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental. No additional information is currently available.
