What Does it mean to be Chosen Part 2

This week we continue our study on one of the most humbling and hope producing doctrines in all of Scripture: What does it mean to be chosen? Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:10–13 that he endures all things “for the sake of those who are chosen,” because their salvation, and their eternal glory is certain in Christ. From Abraham to Peter, the story is the same: God reveals. God calls. God saves. God sustains. And because our salvation rests not on our wavering will but on God’s unchanging grace, we rejoice with Jesus Himself: “Do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” (Luke 10:20)
