There is clearly a LOT wrong with this place, but the cost of repairs is small in comparison to the cost savings of living in a big city, even after factoring in the greater job opportunities. The list of things we have to repair to get this place fully up and running is long, but nothing we can't handle: continue renovations on the main house demolition and reconstruction of the barn conversion of the barn into a fully operational workshop repair or replace concrete slab in the auto shop build a greenhouse put up deer fences around the garden space bear and cougar-proof the chicken coop fix the muddy road from the house to the shop build storage racks in the lean-to buy an ATV for snow removal and other tasks build a sauna (not essential but fun) replace the roof over the covered porch complete forest management wildfire protection systems And much, much more. This is just my second video along this new trajectory with my YouTube content, but in just three days of being posted, the first video on this subject was by far the most widely received piece of video work I have ever made for this platform. With that being considered, it seemed completely necessary to make this follow up video in record time (shot in a raw workflow on a Canon C200 cinema camera, edited video + audio + VFX + SFX + text, uploaded via Starlink, and uploaded all in 4 work days). Coming very soon, I will be making a cost breakdown video which will cover everything we have spent in the first three months of being out here - the price it cost to make this abandoned 10 acre farm at least partially useable and liveable. If you have any experience doing what I am doing out here, please let me know in the comments what you think might help me. Tiana and I and very much new to this type of lifestyle; nevertheless, we know for a fact that it is the right lifestyle for us. Cheers, Ben. 00:00:00 - 00:00:47 - Intro 00:00:48 - 00:01:26 - PART 1: The Buildings 00:01:27 - 00:02:08 - Firewood Shed 00:02:09 - 00:03:15 - Chicken Coop / Mini Workshop 00:03:16 - 00:04:02- Storage Shed 00:04:03 - 00:05:09 - Barn To Shop Conversion 00:05:10 - 00:05:34 - Why We Almost Didn't Buy Here 00:05:35 - 00:06:38 - Future Workshop 00:06:39 - 00:07:42 - Workshop Attic 00:07:43 - 00:07:56 - Automotive Shop 00:07:57 - 00:08:22 - Lean-To Side of the Barn 00:08:23 - 00:09:01 - Cow Skulls? 00:09:02 - 00:09:01 - PART 2: The Land 00:10:32 - 00:11:10 - Cost Breakdown (Video Coming Soon) 00:11:11 - 00:11:51 - Outro
