Marty Robbins A Man And A Train
I doubt as a young lad when walking across the Arizona desert to see his idol Gene Autry in his latest sagebrush saga, Marty for one moment thought he would one day in the future be singing the theme songs to big movies like this 1973 Lee Marvin/Ernest Borgnine film directed by Robert Aldrich. Marty's other film title songs include 'The Hanging Tree' and 'Honky Tonk Man' as well as his 'Ballad Of The Alamo' featuring on that film's soundtrack. Strangely, despite his powerful interpretation of this great song Marty only reached the number 40 spot on the country chart
