Coast Guard Cutter USCGC Tupelo WAGL-303 Buoy Tender On Great Lakes 1960 & USS Daniel A Joy DE-585
This is an amazing look back into 1960 and the USCGC Tupelo WAGL-303. She wouldn't convert to a WLB until 1965. Footage shows her working the Great Lakes. She was homeported out of Toledo, Ohio at the time. There is also some great footage of the USS Daniel A Joy DE-585, which was a navy reserve vessel at the time and serving on the Great Lakes until being decommissioned in 1965. Enjoy this piece of Coast Guard and Navy history. If you can add to the video, please comment. For more great videos check out my channel and subscribe!
