In this video and the next, I will discuss pantheism, its place within the quadrilateral of atheism, theism, and deism, and free will, body, and consciousness within a pantheist worldview. In doing so, I will remain faithful to the philosophy of the renowned pantheist philosopher Baruch Spinoza. In this series on the history of philosophy, starting with Thales and working our way up to the present day, we have tended to cherry-pick the ideas that are applicable or plausible while explaining why the parts that aren't are flawed. But Spinoza is not one of them. Indeed, Spinoza's philosophy—which I will discuss under four headings—provides answers that remain relevant to the questions debated in philosophy even today. This despite his birth nearly 400 years ago. As we enter 2021, it is still possible to be a Spinozist and continue to live this way.
